Where Water Glows
Spring raises her sleepy head,
Tussled beneath her wintery bed,
And finds in place of powdery hills and snowy ghouls,
Glittering glacial pools,
Like a sea of melted moons,
brooks glow as lotuses bloom,
and fawns tread, wading like swimmers,
through rivers where children once sped,
on ski and sled,
Now with one last yawn,
Spring awakens,
And Winter slumbers.
